At its booth (#S22057) at NPE 2018, China’s Tederic Machinery Co., Ltd., is collaborating with Milliken & Company to highlight the advantages of using its injection molding equipment with Milliken’s advanced additive technology. Tederic will demonstrate faster cycle times and higher production by injection molding a black garbage can made from Braskem PP F180A, a polypropylene homopolymer.
Tederic’s DH550 two-platen hydraulic injection molding machine is part of the DH Dream Series. It offers a significantly longer mold clamping stroke in spite of its compact size and small footprint. The equipment delivers high speed and precision to increase throughput and quality.
Milliken’s additive technology increases crystallization temperature and crystallization rate of the resin to reduce cooling duration. These solutions can shorten cycle times by 15 percent or more.
The average cycle time for molding the 250g garbage can is 20 seconds.
